VISION
Our vision is a world where children feel safe and unafraid because they have been given the information and tools to make smart and empowered choices.
Our Training and Programs
Safe and Unafraid Training™ - In this training, you will learn how to identify, help prevent and appropriately respond to potential child abuse and human or sex trafficking situations. For staff members and volunteers of organizations that deal with youth in any capacity, this will probably be one of the most important training you will be required to take.
A-B-C Learn Safety With Me program - This program is a comprehensive, innovative program that teaches three to six-year-old children the basics of personal safety, personal hygiene, their alphabet, and numbers. While a child is learning their alphabet and to count, we have incorporated basic safety topics (i.e. stranger awareness, bullying, fire, car and pool safety, etc.) in a manner that is non-scary and fun. Once a child has mastered the basics, staying safe is as natural as saying their ABC’s!
How to Deal With Strangers Safely program - This training is a 40-minute PowerPoint safety program, developed specifically for 2nd through 5th-grade students, using a cast of multicultural kids. During this program, kids learn the difference between "Good Strangers/Trusted Adults" and "Bad Strangers/Tricksters". They will learn how to effectively use the buddy system, different tricks or stories that a predator may use to lure a child, what to do if someone attempts to grab them, where to go and how to avoid being put in that situation.

"Military Veterans Against Child Abuse is a top-notch organization. When Sharon talks to our children about safety, they listen and they learn. But, not only do the kids learn, they frequently teach their own parents about such basic safety concerns as the need to wear a seat belt. Sharon's new book, The ABC's and 123's of Child Safety, continues to receive terrific reviews from parents and professionals alike. The book itself is foundational for what Sharon strives to accomplish--to ensure that our children know and put into practice, along with their parents, the basics of safety. I endorse Military Veterans Against Child Abuse and its founder, Sharon M. Blacknall, without hesitation." - Ben D. Craver, Assistant Executive Director and Campus Dean at Wayland Baptist University
